Meet the up-to-date boss, same as the aged boss.

Those are song lyrics by the Who, and to be honest I never knew what that was supposed to mean until recently, and for the last 8 months a man named Carl has been the manager of our cannabis dispensary.

Carl was not popular with the staff for many reasons, but mostly because he was strict about the rules and regulations… He had the precision and bearing of a military man, which was not a good mindset to have while managing a cannabis dispensary. Cannabis users tend to be a little slow on the uptake, so yelling at them doesn’t motivate them it scares them. Cannabis users need to be guided gently if you want to get the maximum results from them. This is what Carl never understood, because he treated the staff like they were soldiers, when in fact all of them are blazed on cannabis virtually all the time! Not me, of course, I rarely get stoned before I come to work, and I never get stoned while at the cannabis dispensary, and since I do smoke a lot of cannabis outside of work, I am truly good at working with stoned people, and being able to keep them focused on work. I will not miss Carl, and I recognize I can do a much better job managing the cannabis dispensary than he ever did. When you aren’t into activitys, a lot of bars are not truly welcoming! Most bars and taverns around my town are activitys themed, with dozens of cable screens lining the walls showing odd games at all times of the day… Groups of loud people gather to cheer their teams and get loaded, and I simply don’t like that at all, however i like to have a drink and relax, even though I want someplace more quiet and peaceful… Although they don’t serve drinks, I have found the most delightful cannabis cafe and smokers lounge downtown.

I recognize that is not exactly true, because they do serve drinks, just a singles infused with cannabis oil instead of alcohol, but there are no beers or wines or liquor drinks at this locale, but there are over 20 odd beverages loaded with either THC, CBD, or both! I have never been a fan of CBD personally, even though I will admit to a synergistic effect when I take it in conjunction with cannabis, but cBD on its own is flat, it does nothing more for myself and others than eating an aspirin, but when I mix it with the beautiful THC found in cannabis, then it takes myself and others to a whole up-to-date level. I have l acquired a lot about the science behind cannabis by going to see this lounge, because the entire staff is truly expertiseable. They don’t just want to get you stoned and take your currency, these people want to teach you about cannabis, and all the appealing benefits that come with it! Best of all, this locale never plays any activitys on tv!
