There was a time when I used to really look forward to Black Friday shopping.
I’d set my alarm extra early and get up when the sky was still dark.
In my area, the weather in November is extremely unpredictable. I’d often need to brave icy roads, snow flurries and temperatures below freezing to venture to the mall. It was always difficult to find a parking place. I’d need to dress in heavy boots, a wool coat and a sweater to make the long walk from the parking lot to the mall. The inside of the mall was always overheated and stuffy. I’d immediately start sweating and peel off my outer layers. Carrying around a heavy wool coat was not fun. I hated waiting in long lines to pay for items. It was a long and tiring day. I’ve since switched to shopping entirely online. It’s so much easier. From the comfort of home, I can shop at a variety of different stores. I can wear my pajamas, sip my favorite brand of tea and compare prices. This convenience has led to my ordering my groceries online and having them delivered as well. I really appreciate the simplicity and hassle-free process of virtual shopping and packages showing up on my doorstep. I was especially thrilled to learn that the local cannabis dispensary was adding delivery service. While I am a big fan of both the medicinal benefits and recreational rewards of cannabis, I don’t like spending time browsing at the dispensary. I tend to rush and not make the best of the opportunity. Shopping online allows me to read about each product, compare potency levels and really think about what I want to buy. Having the cannabis products delivered right to my door is extra nice.
