I had to get four new tires for my car before the rainy season. I knew the tread was getting low, but I didn’t think they were as bad as my Dad thought they were. My dad even reminded me in October, because it was going to be wet and rainy when the winter months arrived. I spent my savings on a new playstation for Christmas and I thought the tires would be fine for another few months. During the first rainstorm of the year, I slid off the road because of my bald tires. I wound up in a ditch with the front of my car banged up. I went to the tire shop and the guy said it was going to cost. $780 for all four new tires. I was expecting to hear around $500, and I gulped when I heard the price for all four tires. I knew my dad would give me a loanI didn’t have the money, so I asked my boss if I could pick up some shifts at the marijuana dispensary. My boss said I could get forty hours every week, but she couldn’t allow me to get any overtime. I was already scheduled for 34 hours, so that didn’t leave much room for more time. I picked up a Saturday shift that was open. I was supposed to leave at six, but the manager let me get two hours of overtime because the dispensary was busy inside and deliveries were backed up. It won’t take long for me to earn the money I need to buy the new tires.
