My family had a very busy weekend. We went to the amusement park on Saturday and had brunch with my parents on Sunday. We went to church and then we played in the park with some other kids until dinner time. When my son woke up for school on Monday morning, he told me that he wasn’t feeling very well. I honestly assumed that he was still tired from the weekend. I didn’t want to go to work that morning either, but I knew that I wasn’t going to make any money sitting at home on the couch. I had a furnace repair scheduled for that morning and I also had a furnace repair scheduled for the afternoon. As a small business owner, I tried to fill up my schedule with as many repair and installation appointments as possible. I also strive to provide the absolute best customer service possible. I could not provide good customer service on monday, because I had to cancel both of the furnace repairs that were scheduled that day. The school nurse called my wife to pick up our son from school because he had a fever. My wife did not answer the phone because she was in the middle of a meeting. The school nurse called me next. I answered the phone on the first ring and the nurse told me that I had to come and pick up my son. He couldn’t stay at school with a fever and she suggested taking him to the doctor if the fever did not get any better.
