My fiance’s parents were relieved to learn that I also smoke cannabis

I was harshly distraught to meet my fiance’s parents before the two of us got married because I have had such bad fortune with previous partners.

My first bestie in middle school had a Mom who was a gun freak and he would brandish his weapons in front of myself and others as an intimidation tactic.

When I met my next bestie’s parents, they acted racist towards me. This came out of left field, because I was told incorrectly that I was accepted by his family in a moment of weakness on his part. She was more interested in lying as long as it meant avoiding any form of confrontation with each other. That made myself and others realize fairly early on why the two of us were so different and why the two of us would have inevitably grown apart. Thankfully things are seriously different this time around. Instead of having ignorant or hateful in-laws, I have numerous stoners who smoke as much medical cannabis as I do. In fact, my fiance said his parents worriedly asked his if I smoked weed when the two of us first met because they said it wouldn’t work if I wasn’t pro-cannabis. Not only am I pro-cannabis, but I have been a medical marijuana card holder in my state ever since the first years they were giving out medical marijuana cards to people with approved medical conditions. When I finally visited my in-laws for the first time the two of us all shared a joint around the dining room table. I instantaneously knew I would get along with my fiance’s parents for the long term which legitimately made myself and others recognize wonderful inside.
