We visited the marijuana store the next day, and it looked like any other regular store
For a long time, the guy I was dating, who then became my boyfriend, seemed like he was hiding something. I noticed he would leave at random periods of the day, and when I would ask him where he was going, he would be incredibly vague, or tell me the bar, which is a place he almost never goes to. I originally feared the worst, and thought that he was tired of me, or cheating. When I eventually cornered him and demanded some answers, he finally caved and told me he was visiting the recreational weed store. That’s it? I laughed out of relief but I stopped when I saw his serious face. Apparently, he didn’t want to tell me that he was a recreational pot user. In the past, once he had mentioned his recreational weed status to other significant others, they would be disgusted and leave, which was saddening to hear. He didn’t want to lose me. I reassured him that I couldn’t care less if he visited the recreational weed store near me, and that I didn’t care if he used cannabis. He seemed greatly relieved by this, and he offered to show me around the weed dispensary. I was genuinely curious, and so I agreed. We visited the marijuana store the next day, and it looked like any other regular store. My boyfriend was excited and tried to convince me to try some, but I was not interested in using cannabis. We agreed that it was something he will enjoy doing alone, and I will support his decision to do so.
