I have been managing a cannabis dispensary for the past 6 months! I have full ability to make all decisions regarding the cannabis store… This year I wanted to hold a celebration on 4/20.
- I spoke with the owner of the corporation and he thought that the celebration was a great idea, he told myself and others to contact our lawyer to make sure there would not be any complications with the celebration and get-together.
I called the cannabis consulting agency on staff and left a message for the lawyer. The next day I received a telephone call from the cannabis consulting agency. I waited on the line so I could speak with a licensed attorney. The guy told myself and others that we could advertise the celebration as much as we wanted. The people I was with and I could have any type of get-together and provide away things for free as long as the items did not have a value that was more than $25. The people I was with and I could have songs as long as the volume did not cross the town decibel level. The lawyer also suggested myself and others that we would have to have extra security in the building that day. If we planned to fill the parking lot with vendors, food trucks, and purchasers, we were going to need an additional permit from the town too; All of these items took some time to procure, but they were necessary in order to have the celebration without getting the local sheriff’s office involved. The people I was with and I did not want to provide the police any reason to shut down our fun and exciting 420 get-together.
