The last time there was a problem, I had to get the police involved.
My roommate hates the smell of marijuana, so I usually sit outside on the patio when I want to smoke a marijuana joint. I don’t mind sitting on the patio. We have comfortable chairs and a small table. There is an awning overhead so I don’t get rained on. I have a small radio outside so I can play music from pandora. It’s a pretty nice setup for smoking marijuana. Unfortunately, the neighbor that lives directly below us has a problem with the smell of marijuana and the guy complains all of the time. Sometimes he calls the office manager for the apartment community. I have had several different conversations with the office manager. We talked about the fact that recreational marijuana is legal in the state and she told me to ignore the neighbor unless the guy was being aggressive. I came home to nasty notes on my door in the afternoon and I had letters in the mailbox as well. The last time there was a problem, I had to get the police involved. I was outside on the patio smoking marijuana and the neighbor came upstairs to bang on the door. I told the woman that I was going to call the police if he did not leave, but he did not listen to my warning. I did call the police and they came to the apartment about 45 minutes later. The neighbor was still standing outside of my apartment ranting and raving, so it was easy for the police to see why I called.
