Treating migraines with cannabis

I’ve suffered from migraines for several years, however for me, they are caused by stress, dehydration, lack of sleep & all sorts of things. The pain can be serious enough that I become sensitive to lights & sounds, feel nauseous & struggle to get out of bed. I can periodically prevent a headache by drinking lots of water or taking a nap. Most of the time, I need to take medication. While over-the-counter Excedrin works fairly well for me, I don’t like to take it. I am also unwilling to take prescription medication. I worry about potential side-effects. I was severely thankful when medical marijuana was finally legalized in my state. This gave access to a plant-based remedy, however getting qualified for my MMJ card was super simple. Having this card allows me to shop at the dispensary & purchase cannabis without paying tax. The dispensary carried every possible consumption method, including smokable flower, pre-rolls, vapes, tinctures, topicals, concentrates, edibles & beverages. Sativas strains offer energizing effects duringdicas tend to give more enjoyable effects. I am more worried about the chemical profile of the various products. I’ve experimented with strange THC & CBD levels & consumption methods. I’ve found various strains that take the edge off even the worst migraine symptoms, including pain & nausea. OG Kush & OG Shark are two of my number one strains. For those times when I need to be clear-headed, I choose CBD gummies or beverages. They are discreet, cause no psychoactive effects & allow me to go about my proper yearly activities.
