I dislike having to search most people down to make sure that they are on time for their shift at the marijuana dispensary, and it’s my job as the manager to make sure that all of the employees are there, but I have a group of adults who should be able to come to work on time.
I am often in the middle of meetings, emails, or iPhone calls when employees leave and arrive.
I cannot constantly be available. I complained over and over again to the owner of the cannabis dispensary. The older lady remembers doing things the way they were done in the past. I tried to tell her that there were plenty of ways to streamline the process so I did not have so much aggravation and wasted time. The manager came to talk with me Last year and she told me that she was looking at a cannabis dispensary employee management software program. The cannabis dispensary employee management software would be installed by the program manager and then there would be a brief orientation on a Saturday that most people would need to attend. I thought that the software sounded like a good idea. I was totally gung-ho about the idea until I found out that each of my employees and I would have to drive all the way to the city for the orientation, on the same exact day. I asked my boss if she was going to work on that Saturday and she said no. The only other options are to close that day while most people is away or have the meeting on two separate days.
