I had never been in a recreational marijuana dispensary until I went to visit my cousin.
She moved when we were kids, and I had only seen her a handful of times over the last twenty years. We used to be best friends, and when I heard she was getting married and wanted me at the wedding as a bridesmaid, it surprised me. A part of me was excited to see her again, but another part of me was anxious. I didn’t know what she was like anymore. I lived openly and loved being around people. My mom told me I had to go to the wedding, and I left one week early so I could get my dress fitted. My cousin met me at the plane and I couldn’t help but scream and hug her. She hugged me back, then leaned back to look at my eyes. She asked if I had changed and I said no while asking if she had. Once we were in the car, she asked I minded if she stopped at the marijuana dispensary on the way home. I didn’t realize they had legal, recreational marijuana in her area. She laughed when she saw my face light up. Recreational marijuana dispensaries are more fun to shop in than medical marijuana dispensaries.She was happy that I hadn’t changed over the years. The week leading up to the wedding was so much fun.
