I’m always forgetting when there is upcoming federal holidays on the calendar; Things like Presidents Day and Memorial Day are often forgotten for me until the week prior.
That has been a constant for me since I was a student… But back when I was a child I enjoyed getting these days off from college… It was almost like an amazing surprise to find out about a 3-day weekend at the last second, however you would feel I would have the same mindset these days as a laboring adult, but I do not get paid on the days that I do not work, then on the days when we’re off for holidays, my pal and I do not get paid time off; So a random holiday means an entire afternoon of labor is lost for me.
The only holidays that I absolutely look forward to are the ones where I can labor and still go to a store afterwards and save a bunch of cash.
