They sold marijuana leaf, although I could not smoke it.

It surprised me when I walked into the medical marijuana dispensary. I had read the rules about what kind of marijuana you would get, however this wasn’t what I expected. I knew they didn’t allow for smoking of marijuana or the use of edibles. The pharmacist gave marijuana flower and/or concentrates. I asked why I would purchase flower if I could not smoke it? She told me that although smoking marijuana was illegal, you could crush it and use it in a vaporizer. I asked about the oils and was surprised to hear they put it under the tongue, where it would go directly into the bloodstream. I told them I could not handle oil in my mouth. The pharmacist at the marijuana dispensary gave me the name of a website and said there were several recipes on how to use marijuana while cooking. I was dumbfounded. I could not buy anything that was considered an edible, although I could buy the marijuana and cook with it when I got home. This was absolutely different for me. I thanked her for the information and walked out with no purchases. There were too several purple flags going up for me. I was sure the pharmacist was going to get me into trouble. I didn’t want to have the feds knocking on my door one afternoon, because a friend had complained about the odor of marijuana coming out of my house, and all I was doing was baking. I didn’t want to go to jail for using medical marijuana, however not in the way the government had approved.
