When recreational marijuana passed not too long ago, I wasn’t as blissful as I was curious.
It was kind of a whim and it kind of wasn’t. I’m unquestionably the only man who went to school in the late 60’s who never smoked marijuana. It was literally everywhere back then. I remember when our mother asked myself and others what that smell was the first afternoon he moved myself and others into our freshman year dormitory. I did not assume because I came from a small neighborhood and there wasn’t anybody I knew that used marijuana. The only thing I knew about marijuana was that it was evil and I had to stay far away from it. That also went for alcohol and most boys who did not go to church every Wednesday night. But it did not take 2 or more than two afternoons before I was offered some form of cannabis many, many times. And each time, I politely declined the invitation to consume any sort of cannabis products! Once I was out of school, I absolutely never thought much more about marijuana until so many states began legalizing medical marijuana products. I was all for that because I guess anybody should be able to get something that was natural to aid them with pain or any kind of suffering. I was absolutely blissful to see that medical marijuana laws passed. When recreational marijuana passed not too long ago, I wasn’t as blissful as I was curious. And that was how I ended up sort of walking into the local cannabis spot accidentally on purpose. I was just so very curious to see what I had been missing out on all these years. And now, I see why cannabis products are so popular and people find so many benefits when it comes to smoking marijuana.
