My adolescents are all ancient enough now that I can be high around them and it doesn’t know weird.
If anything it’s a sizable relief, however all three of my daughters are teenagers at this point.
I try to keep a slim bond with them, but these are awkward years so it has been a rocky road. I absolutely told them about my marijuana use as a way to bring us closer. They knew I was hiding something from them, so I thought it would strengthen our relationship to be completely tolerable with them. I told the girls that I smoked cannabis every day, and had done so since I was their age, none of them were a bit surprised, because the odor of cannabis is hard to ignore. All three of them were satisfied with me, because I had been open and tolerable about smoking cannabis. This made them know appreciate they could trust me. My oldest kid even told me that a single of her friends had been trying to get her to try marijuana. I was understanding, and said that was natural to be curious, however I felt her first time smoking cannabis should be with me. She was freaked out about the idea of smoking cannabis with her dad, however I said that it would be the safest way to try it. I know that all of my adolescents will try cannabis sooner or later, so I might as well meet them halfway and offer to show them the ropes myself. Or maybe the fact their dad smokes cannabis will make it seem uncool and end their curiosity.
