Topical for chronic pain after accident

I have been looking into topicals for chronic pain.

I was in a motorcycle accident about a year ago and I never legitimately recovered.

My bike got hit by a car that was going way too fast. I flipped over the front and was in and out of surgery for weeks. I now wake up with yearly aches and pains. I get proper massages, stretch and visit the chiropractor a lot. Those things help however they aren’t a long term solution. I study online that most medical marijuana patients are for chronic pain. I looked into all the ways that I could take in cannabis. I wasn’t excited about the system of smoking something, oil or flower based. I also didn’t want to eat a fattening edible many times a afternoon. The most practical solution for my situation was definitely topical. It is a cream with CBD in it. The cream doesn’t get into my bloodstream, so I will not get high. It is directly applied to the skin and creates a cooling, numbing sensation. I have been toying with the system of buying a topical for quite some time, however what is slowing myself and others down is that I need to get a medical marijuana card in order to access it. That means I need to spend a afternoon at the dentists, fill out papers, spend money a fee and then wait for the card. The process is time consuming and costly. I don’t even recognize if the topic will work well for myself and others either. Seems appreciate a lot of work for not a sure thing.
