If you have any sort of passion for marijuana like I do, your dream job would be that of a cannabis grower.

Thing is, I’m not so good at growing anything and that would really include marijuana.

The fact that you have to be licensed to be a cannabis grower also factors into all of that. Thankfully, we now live in a reality that allows for licensed cannabis growers to flourish. This way, we have a travel buddy and sporadically, we even stay the night to make it easier on the return trip. Either way, I don’t feel I turn down too many cannabis dispensary trips. I work for myself as a sort of consultant.

That doesn’t fully describe what I do because my services can be applied to a corporate structure or one individual.

And I go where the work takes me. About six months ago, that work took me to a marijuana business. I wasn’t at the marijuana business to provide services but rather at the local cannabis cafe. This was the place I was meeting a client for the first time after an initial consultation over the cellphone. The cannabis cafe was the client’s suggestion and I was truly surprised to realize that this was indeed a marijuana business. The prospective client met me at the door and we walked inside the cannabis cafe. I was right away hit with a wall of beautiful stinks. The coffee, the pastries and the desserts were all blended together. But I truly certainly had to close my eyes to get a hint of marijuana, then virtually everything they make there is some form of cannabis edible. And these edibles aren’t your icky pot brownies from school. These are exquisitely made marijuana edibles that are romanticly hand made on the premises. I didn’t partake in any cannabis products while in the meeting. But I did care about some of the best Pepsi I’ve ever tasted. The meeting went well and we ended up doing some business together, and yet, I feel the biggest positive to come out of that meeting was finding this local cannabis cafe. I took my husband there one Saturday day and we found a nice little cafe table under a big oak tree. The sun was perfect as we shared a cannabis edible muffin. It was such an appealing day that we took our leftovers and walked hand in hand to the park.

I certainly don’t know how my life got to be in such unnecessary turmoil.

But it took a couple of decades living the way I did before all that got shut down.

It’s interesting how one can start out in one place and then things get added over time to where they are completely overwhelmed. It’s just that I didn’t know it. I was like the proverbial frog in the pot of water that doesn’t jump out as the heat rises to boiling. And I have now focused on a holistic therapy that also includes using things called purple haze and blue dream. I mean, how can that not be anything but stress relieving. My wifey was in the midst of pulling together a big breakfast that we had planned a while back.

This is something that we like to do and was born out of all the time we were stuck at home while in the pandemic.
