I have been using recreational marijuana for a couple of months only.

I don’t have a high tolerance for the plant, so I get high with the tiniest amount of marijuana.

I don’t even need something that is high in thc. My friends are basically always sad about the amount of THC in the marijuana flower, however it really doesn’t bother me. When Bobby plus I went to The Dispensary together last week, he asked the bud tender several times about the top shelf flower products that were over 30% thc. I usually buy a cheap little $10 pack of marijuana. They were only 15% thc. The top shelf flower product that Bobby picked out was 35% thc. I hastily realized why I was getting a cheaper product for a far cheaper price. I noticed a crucial difference when I smoked a bowl with bobby. The marijuana product that he picked out was much more potent than the single that I picked. I could not even finish a joint with that dude. My eyeah were orange plus miserable after smoking all of that weed. I don’t honestly suppose how our best neighbor smokes that marijuana every single day plus still somehow manages to get his job done. I wouldn’t be able to function at all if I smoked the exact same amount of marijuana that he does. I have seen the guy tackle a whole oz of marijuana in a single sitting. He is glad to smoke joint after joint, just like it was cigarettes in a pack. But, 20 joints is going to cost a lot more cash than 20 cigarettes. Marijuana is a highly expensive habit when you smoke like that.

Since it was the afternoon plus I was finished with working my job for the day, I decided to go with an Indica that would make myself and others far too exhausted.

I knew that I wasn’t going to have a lot of time after my usual job on Friday, So I placed an order with the marijuana dispensary before I left work. I was sincerely hoping to walk in plus out of the dispensary in 5 minutes or less. I had an appointment plus I knew I was going to cut it close if I stopped at the marijuana dispensary first. Thankfully for me, our order for pickup was ready plus waiting when I arrived. I told the kind woman working at the counter that I had to option up the order. She took our name plus our id. A single minute or two later she came back from the storage space with a heavy tote in her hand. She took all of the items out of the tote plus went through the online order with myself and others item by item. Everything that I ordered was in the tote that day except for the free pre-roll. The lady at the counter gave myself and others an option on the free pre-roll. I could select from sativa, hybrid, or indica. Since it was the afternoon plus I was finished with working my job for the day, I decided to go with an Indica that would make myself and others far too exhausted. When I finally got home from running all of our errands that afternoon, I just got out the Skywalker OG joint plus lit it up. I only smoked half of the joint before I rapidly started to recognize entirely exhausted plus lethargic. The marijuana joint worked hastily. Before I knew it, I was passed out on the couch.

I hate it when I’m at the store and the employees know nothing about the products being sold.

This is especially frustrating in sporting goods stores when you need help finding various sizes of cleats for your son or daughter who’s getting ready to play baseball or soccer for the first time. Then when you ask for help, they act like it’s the biggest inconvenience in the world for them. This happened to me a few weeks ago and I had to politely ask for a manager after four employees gave me this sort of treatment. The problem is that I hate being confrontational for any reason. I don’t ever want to be that annoying person in the department store screaming for the manager over trivial nonsense. Suffice it to say, if I have to ask for a manager, you know the situation is serious. Unfortunately, I have had to do the same thing at the cannabis dispensary a few times as well. The budenders, or the people who work the registers at the weed store, aren’t always trained enough to give customers good information on the products sold in the store. I have learned a lot more about cannabis by reading various articles on the internet versus asking budtenders questions while I’m purchasing products in the cannabis dispensary. Sometimes they’ll recommend a sativa strain when you ask for something that will simply sedate you and give you no anxiety whatsoever. Or if you ask for a stimulating sativa strain, they’ll give you an indica that knocks you out and puts you to sleep.

I give my girlfriend a lot of credit for always trying to make sure I’m having a good time on my birthdays.

When I was 15, I was hit by a car on my bike just a few days before my birthday.

I was in a dentist’s office for the entire day on my birthday while getting oral surgery on the teeth that were knocked out. After that trauma, I had issues related to my birthday every single year. Something was always out of place or I was disappointed for one reason or another. No matter what I planned for my birthdays, it always felt like there was an ominous specter hanging over me. But my current girlfriend has changed that. For the past three years straight, she has made it a priority that I have a good birthday. This year she made me a strong batch of pot brownies for my 35th birthday party. She tricked me on the potency because she used basic cannabutter for the brownies while she put RSO from a syringe directly into the frosting on the brownies. They were so strong that I was knocked out cold at night when I ate two at a time. I woke up 10 hours later in a total haze. They’re probably the strongest cannabis edibles I’ve ever consumed, so I have to hand it to my girlfriend and her baking skills. She threw me for a loop by putting RSO in the frosting, as I would have never suspected a strong cannabis oil product on top of the cannabutter that we make ourselves from cannabis flower buds.

When I first started smoking cannabis, I had no idea that I’d be able to try so many different strains throughout my life.

Back then it was either “mids” or “crip” and nothing in between.

And the weed prices were as high back then as they are right now. You could get an eighth of an ounce of quality OG Kush for either $50 or $60 back in 2000, and nowadays you’d see a similar price at a legal cannabis dispensary. While it’s one of my all time favorite strains now, it was hard to source OG Kush back in the day. I had White Widow a few times and also Blue Dream and Haze. But OG Kush wasn’t always easy to come by like it is these days. It’s an extremely popular cannabis strain in its own right, but it’s always the parent strain of a bunch of popular hybrid strains as well. For instance, the famous Girl Scout Cookies strain is derived from OG Kush crossed with Durban Poison. Headband is a strain made from crossing OG Kush with the delectable Sour Diesel sativa strain. And then there are famous phenotypes of OG Kush like SFV OG and Tahoe OG. When I took my first trips out west to the original legal states, these variants and hybrids of OG Kush were among my favorite offerings that were available to me at the time. I don’t even know if I could pick a favorite if I was forced to, but Bubba Kush is one possible contender for the top spot. I get it now from the local medical weed store whenever it’s in stock and I’m always blown away despite it having a lower THC content in general.

After I learned about the difference between cannabis derived terpenes and botanical terpenes I started looking for cannabis oil pens that had the former in them.

Gimmicky products get annoying after a while, especially when their utility starts to wear thin. Themed restaurants are a good example of this. They might excite tourists with their strange and odd-ball visual attractions, but they’re not going to get dedicated locals eating there daily unless they have good food to go with the nonsense. A recent viral video on the internet illustrates this perfectly, as two friends decide to make an ironic vacation out of visiting every single location in the country of this restaurant that has a jungle and safari theme. While they were expecting every location to be a dressed-up Applebees, they found out that some of these restaurants were owned by people who cared about offering something unique to the surrounding community. Some locations had average food while others had phenomenal food. They expected it to just be another stupid novelty that would wear thin by the third or fourth location, but they had a fun vacation by the end of the trip. I have had a similar experience with marijuana oil pens as I started with cheap distillate pens that had botanical terpenes in them. After I learned about the difference between cannabis derived terpenes and botanical terpenes I started looking for cannabis oil pens that had the former in them. Then I learned about the difference between ethanol extracted oil and butane extracted cannabis oil, which led me on a quest to get butane oil cartridges. In the end I found the daddy of them all—live rosin marijuana oil pens. But now that I have the best available cannabis extract in an oil pen, I realize that I prefer consuming cannabis in a vaporizer over and above these oil pen technology. It’s a gimmick that runs thin for me really quickly, no matter what quality of cannabis oil is inside.
